Ti Point Walkway

Located around 1.5 hrs north of Auckland Ti Point Is just north of Omaha beach on the east coast. You drive around the back of the harbour on the leigh road untill you see the tipoint turn of on your right and follow the road to the end. There is a small wharf here that is an ideal place for kids to drop a line in the water, this short walk is best in the dry as parts of the track are clay and some parts a little slippery.

The track stays close to the water most of the way around, the end of the headland is open farm and right out the end is an impressive rock pillar that rises straight up out of the ocean, this is where the track ends but you can carry on along the rocks to a sandy beach called Torkington bay and it is possible to walk all the way to Mathesons bay if you are adventurous, as you need to do a dabble or two into the water all in this walk is a nice day out away from the crowds as not alot of people walk out there.
