Goldies Bush Walk Muriwai

Mokoroa Falls Auckland

This great track is made up of two walks, the Goldie Bush Walk Way which starts on Constable road just south of Muriwai Beach and the Mokoroa Falls track that starts at the end of Horsemans road which is located just out of Waitakere township in West Auckland.

The walk to the Mokoroa Falls is best walked from Horsemans road as the falls are closer here than from Constable road end, also the track to the falls is alot easier to walk which follows a ridge line to a viewing platform above the falls you can also walk down the track to the base of the falls beside the stream.

The Goldies Bush Walk Way from Constable road starts high up on a ridge and then winds down the mountain side and through some stunning native trees to the Mokoroa Stream way down the valley, here there is a suspension bridge over the Mokoroa Stream this takes you to Mokoroa Falls around one and a half hours walk.

At the suspension bridge there is also another track that is slightly longer this track follows the Mokoroa Stream back to the falls and will take around two hours, so you can start the walk from either end, this track is not a loop track so you need to be picked up or return back the way you walked in, this is a great walk through some beautiful native bush away from the city.
