Explore The Many Fantastic Travel Destinations From The North Island And The South Island Of New Zealand.

    Auckland City New Zealand

    Auckland is New Zealand's largest city and there are some fantastic activities and destinations packed into the Auckland area, and the War memorial Museum in the central CBD is a great place to start the museum is located in a central location and sits in a park like surrounding and is a popular place to visit while in Auckland there are some fantastic exhibitions and displays in the museum and the grounds out side offer a great place for a picnic.

    While in the central city the viaduct down on the water front is a must see location and within easy reach by bus or a short walk there are numerous activities available here, the Auckland Maritime Museum is located right on the water front and is a great place to visit with historical displays from New Zealand's Maritime past.

    For the adventurous and nature lovers there are open water cruises available from the Viaduct to the many islands that are located in the Hauraki Gulf, Rangitoto Island is one of Auckland's extinct volcanoes and a great place to explore there is a walk to the summit with fantastic views across the ocean and back to Auckland.

    Waiheke Island is another popular destination for trampers, wine buffs and day trippers looking for a place in the sun, located in the Hauraki Gulf and within a short distance from the Viaduct you can load your vehicle on the ferry and drive off at Waiheke Island and explore the many secluded bays and rocky coast line that surround the Island.

    Tiritiri Matangi Island located in the Hauraki Gulf is one other Island destination on the must do list, located off the very tip of the Whangaparaoa Peninsula the island is a wildlife sanctuary and ferries are available most days to the island from the Viaduct or the Whangaparaoa Peninsula, there are coastal walks around the island and through the beautiful native bush on the island you will see the Tui and other endangerd bird species flying around the island.

    For outdoor enthusiasts there are unlimited activities and scenic destinations to visit around Auckland City, there are many beautiful beaches to explore both on the East Coast and the ever popular West Coast, The Hillary Trail is one for the adventurous this multi day walk along Auckland's Wild West Coast is just stunning, starting at the Arataki Visitor Centre and ending on Constable Road Muriwai this multi day walk is a must do.

    The Waitakere Ranges are a nature lovers paradise located on the outskirts of Auckland the area is full of bush walks where you can see endangered birds like the Tui and the native Wood Pigion, the west coast beaches of Bethells and Muriwai are popular during the summer months and Muriwai boasts a population of Gannets during the summer and Autumn months, Bethells Beach is home to Lake Wainamu a popular walk through giant sand dunes to a fresh water Lake and is also the last section of the Hillary Trail.

    Woodhill Forest on Auckland's West Coast is a mountain bike meca around 45 minutes from the Auckland CBD the forest bike park is full of fantastic single track riding, the mountain bike park has bikes available for hire most days of the week and on weekends and the tracks are sand based so are ridable in all weather conditions so if you need an adrenaline rush this is a fantastic place to go.

    Shakespeare Regional Park located on the Whangaparaoa Peninsula is a great place to visit, the park is a nature reserve for Kiwis and there is a stunning farmland walk around the peninsula out towards the end you will get stunning views across the Hauraki Gulf to Titritiri Matangi Island the Coromandal Peninsula and Great Barrier Island.
