    Ocean Beach

Ocean beach is located on the northern side of Bream Head Whangarei. The beach is accessed of Whangarei Heads road and left onto Ocean beach road, the drive out there is along the harbour shoreline and offers views of the harbour and places to stop for a look, in the summer this place is popular and is crowded with swimmers and sun bathers, but visit here during the off season and there are only the locals.

To the left is the long expanse of Ocean beach and to the right is Bream Head you can explore all along the rocks here just about right out to the point. On ocean beach road there is Ranui road to the right just before the end of the road drive up there, and there is a walking track along the top of Bream Head offering stunning views out to the Hen & Chicken islands further south out from the harbour entrance.

Back up Ocean beach road before Ranui is a carpark on the right hand side with access to other tracks out to Peach Cove track and Bream Head track so there is always plenty to do around this little settlement of Ocean Beach.
